Creating social experiences for global brands

The Tom Sawyer Effect is an award-winning boutique creative consultancy and immersive experience company.

It's worked within many sectors and for some of the biggest brands around, including luxury (Watches of Switzerland and Acqua di Parma), technology (Oculus and Monese), charity (WWF, Cancer Research UK and Child.org) and many, many more.

The team also runs live experiences blending real and virtual worlds, immersive theatre and emerging technologies, virtual and augmented reality. They have created dozens of experiences for anyone from technology brands to authors (including Robert Galbraith or David Mitchell), video games (The Witcher or Resident Evil) and institutions such as The Eden Project or The Royal Court Theatre.


My role

I set up and activated social media strategies for brands of many shapes and sizes, integrating with their wider marcomms channel spectrum and then driving activation through engaging content, campaigns and award-winning experiences.

I built and coordinated campaigns spanning dozens of countries and territories (including EMEA & global), designing go-to-market toolkits for local teams and helping them bring the ideas to life for their audiences.

And I designed and ran media and influencer programmes, locally and globally, often mixing in live events and immersive activations.
